Volunteers are the unsung heroes of New Day! Our network of volunteers is made of uniquely gifted individuals who lend their time, creativity and talents to help us provide hope and support to children and families as they battle cancer.
We understand that you want to volunteer but might not know where your skills and talents best fit with New Day's needs. Check out our volunteer opportunities below and see how you can best help a family facing cancer.
Volunteer Opportunities
Event Volunteer
Special event volunteers work on event committees, help on the event day and/or participate in the event.
Join Our Action Committee
Help make our event auctions and raffles a success by procuring items or packaging items for presentation.
Host an Event for New Day
Host an event for your circle of friends — anything from a bake sale to a pickleball tournament to a cocktail party.
Quarterly Supply Drives
Help pack and deliver a special care pack or seasonal care basket for a Michigan family with cancer.
Skill-Based Volunteer
Needed skills include financial planning, photography, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping and more.
Make or Donate Items
Make fleece or knit blankets, donate items or organize a drive to collect items for our custom family care packs.
To receive registration information for volunteer opportunities, please fill out the form below or contact Heather Blasko at heather@newdayff.org. Groups may register one contact person, while individuals will need to register as an official volunteer. Opportunities are limited, so please reach out in advance.
We have a number of opportunities throughout the year for which we welcome volunteer help. The supply drives are volunteer-driven. Volunteers are asked to purchase and donate the items to create the baskets, and either deliver or ship to a New Day family facing cancer.
