The Rainbow Connection is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1985 that offers the opportunity for a child (Ages 2 to 18) with a life-threatening or terminal illness to have a wish granted, academic scholarships, cancer family events, and case managers.
A Mother’s Wish embraces and supports Oakland County, MI women and families impacted by breast cancer by easing the day-to-day burdens associated with a diagnosis while offering opportunities for hope, comfort, family togetherness and healing.
The Gilda’s Club of Metro Detroit is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1998, that is available in multiple areas and offers support groups, education lectures, workshops, children/teen specific activities and groups, bereavement support groups, and social events for men, women, teens and children living with cancer, as well their families and friends.
The HPWC! Healthy Eating website has a comprehensive list of food access points in the city inclusive of stores, markets, food giveaways, pop-up produce stands and pantries., including what food assistance is accepted and proximity to public transportation.
One Saturday per month, a drive-through food pantry is available at the Islamic Assoc. of Greater Detroit, 879 W. Auburn Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48307.
CARES is to offer a comprehensive support service for individuals and their families in and around the Farmington Hills area and the eight communities that we serve that are in need or have limited access to everyday necessities due to insufficient financial resources or family instability.
