Food Bank Council of Michigan

The Food Bank Council of Michigan was created to address and alleviate hunger statewide by increasing emergency food resources and advocating on behalf of the hunger relief network. Their mission is to create a food secure state through advocacy, resource management, and collaboration.

Feeding America

Feeding America is the largest charity working to end hunger in the United States. We partner with food banks, food pantries, and local food programs to bring food to people facing hunger. We advocate for policies that create long-term solutions to hunger.

Neighborhood House, Rochester Hills

The Neighborhood House Food Pantry is open and can help. Currently, orders are filled on a drive-thru model to ensure social distancing. Oakland HOPE

Oakland HOPE’s Client Choice Food Pantry is able to provide FREE groceries to thousands of families each month. Families, seniors and veterans who have lost their paycheck and income may receive free groceries.

Open Door Outreach Center, Waterford

Open Door’s food pantry provides food & care items on a monthly basis to qualified low income men, women, children and seniors struggling to make ends meet.

Open Hands Food Pantry, Royal Oak

The Open Hands Food Pantry was started in a small closet to provide food for neighbors in need. They serve people with food and other necessities. Open Hands has expanded to include the Open Hands Garden to provide fresh produce to food pantry clients. Located in Royal Oak; open Saturdays only.

Revive and Thrive

Revive & Thrive Project provides healthy, whole-food, fresh, locally-sourced meals to meet the nutritional needs of individuals in West Michigan living with chronic and acute illnesses such as cancer, congestive heart failure, organ transplant, and more.

SNAP

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides benefits to eligible low-income individuals and families. This card can be used like a debit card to purchase eligible food in authorized retail food stores.  Visit FNS’s SNAP Eligibility to find out more about how benefits are computed.

Stone Soup Food Bank, Lapeer

​Stone Soup Food Bank provides bakery, produce, meat, dairy and non-perishable food to the hungry throughout Lapeer County.
