Gilda’s Club – Metro Detroit

The Gilda’s Club of Metro Detroit is a nonprofit organization that is available in multiple areas and offers support groups, education lectures, workshops, children/teen specific activities and groups, bereavement support groups, and social events for men, women, teens, and children living with cancer, as well as their families and friends.

For a Day Foundation

The For a Day Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 2000 that offers programs such as Queen for a Day, Hero for a Day, and Designer for a Day to seriously ill children and their families.

Dougy Center

At Dougy Center, our mission is to provide grief support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults, and their families can share their experiences before and after a death. We provide support and training locally, nationally, and internationally to individuals and organizations seeking to assist children who are grieving.

Children with Hair Loss

The Children with Hair Loss is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 2000 that offers hair replacements once a year to all children who have medically-related hair loss up to age 21.

Children’s Healing Center

Children’s Healing Center is an oasis to step away from the stress of a complex medical diagnosis to experience the healing power of Good. Clean. Fun. With a focus on socialization, play-therapy, recreation and education, kids, and families have a safe space to express themselves, interact with others and feel a sense of belonging.

Children’s Cancer Resource Fund

Children’s Cancer Research Fund is a national nonprofit organization that offers information relevant to parents and immediate family about survivorship, diagnosis, treatment, research and cures of childhood cancer.

Camp Quality of Michigan

The Camp Quality of Michigan is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1987 that offers community-based camping experiences and ongoing support programs to children with cancer (Ages 4 to 17) within five years of their diagnosis.

Camp Mak-A-Dream

The Camp-Mak-A-Dream is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1991 that offers Medically-supervised, cost free camp experiences to children, siblings, teenagers, young adults, and women affected by cancer. In addition, they also offer conferences for teenagers and adults (Age 18-35) with brain tumors.

Camp Casey

The Camp Casey offers programs to children with cancer and their families. Cowboy Camp Outs are overnights at dude ranches; Horsey House Calls bring a horse to the doorstep of ill kids and; Outlaw Outings provide family-oriented activities. Programs are offered to pediatric cancer, sickle cell anemia, and/or aplastic anemia patients.

The Rainbow Connection

The Rainbow Connection is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1985 that offers the opportunity for a child (Ages 2 to 18) with a life-threatening or terminal illness to have a wish granted, academic scholarships, cancer family events, and case managers.
