Gilda’s Club – Metro Detroit

The Gilda’s Club of Metro Detroit is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1998, that is available in multiple areas and offers support groups, education lectures, workshops, children/teen specific activities and groups, bereavement support groups, and social events for men, women, teens, and children living with cancer, as well as their families and friends.

Camp Quality of Michigan

The Camp Quality of Michigan is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1987 that offers community-based camping experiences and ongoing support programs to children with cancer (Ages 4 to 17) within five years of their diagnosis.

Camp Mak-A-Dream

The Camp-Mak-A-Dream is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1991 that offers Medically-supervised, cost free camp experiences to children, siblings, teenagers, young adults, and women affected by cancer. In addition, they also offer conferences for teenagers and adults (Age 18-35) with brain tumors.

Camp Casey

Cassie Hines Shoes Cancer Foundation

SandCastles, featuring Camp Erin

The SandCastles is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 1997 that offers support groups and Camp Erin, which is a week long camping retreat for children ages 3-18 who have experienced a loss.

Inheritance of Hope

The Inheritance of Hope is a non-profit organization founded in 2007 that offers legacy retreats, scholarship resources, book resources, continuing support post-retreat, and webinars to families consisting of children under 18 years of age, and a parent who has a life-threatening illness (Cancer Stages 3 or 4).

Hero Foundation

The Hero Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 2009 dedicated to helping Michigan families financially while they battle cancer.  They also offer a summer weekend camp for children who have a parent with cancer, children who have lost a parent to cancer, or children who are themselves suffering from cancer.

Camp Kesem

The Camp Kesem is a Non-Profit Organization founded in 2000 that offers week long summer camps specifically catered to children between the ages of 6 to 18 with a parent affected by cancer. There are local chapters Grand Valley State University, Michigan State University and University of Michigan.
